Let us Vote on Ziggy Wilf's Vikings tax, Ramsey County
Watch here
http://www.co.ramsey.mn.us/cb/charter/ma.htm
to see which 11 of these 17 people
http://www.co.ramsey.mn.us/NR/rdonlyres/D75BABDF-F80D-4336-B0B5-499B250C7BD6/25446/Roster2011updated092611.pdf
think their judgement should replace established democratic process in regard to a local business sales tax increase for Wilf & Bagley's Vikings stadium.
Vote the Ramco board out as appointed Chairman Richard Sonterre wishes:

Vote democrat party members out of the city council and the county board.
http://www.co.ramsey.mn.us/cb/index.htm
http://www.stpaul.gov/index.aspx?nid=553
Although the St. Paul City Council voted against the stadium, Stark is not above voluntarily accepting a stooge board position created by the Met Council which intends to separately increase property taxes for all county residents to operate the light rail system.
Bagley is lying. A referendum provision would not cause "a major delay"; it would kill it.
The Ramsey County Board must still vote for the tax increase
http://www.co.ramsey.mn.us/cb/index.htm
Vote them out if they vote to impose sales tax for a Vikings stadium.

Rod Halvorson, Mike Fratto and 5 others (see update below) favor preserving our right to vote on the stadium.
Revoke the county's charter rights. Take Ramco to the Supreme Court on this:

I attended both hearings and the vote last night and what I saw was an
amazing amount of cowardice by a group of selected leaders. Rather than
stand up and protect the Ramsey County Charter, under which they were
selected, they would allow the supporters of the stadium, both at the Ramsey
County Board and at the legislature take away the right, already granted
under state law 299A.01 and gut the Ramsey County Charter.
I went to the Ramsey County Charter Commission Website and looked up what
all of the opponents did professionally and found that almost all of the
opponents to allowing Ramsey County voters to vote on this issue were former
Mayors of small cities in the north burbs. I was unable to determine which
political party they were, but here are the selected leaders, (they are all
selected by the Judges of the Ramsey County District Court), who voted
against allowing us to vote on this $600+ million dollar tax:
Those voting against putting the question on the ballot were:
Beverly Aplikowski - former Mayor Arden Hills - Republican - Right-to-Lifer
- owner of Lakeside Moble Home Park
Bob Benke - 14 year Mayor of New Brighton
Bud Berry
Randy Gustafson - spokesman - Ramsey County Sheriff's Office
Rod Halverson (to preserve his right to raise the issue again)
Peter Hendricks - attorney with small 3 man firm in Bloomington
Marvin Koppen - Mayor of Maplewood - Owner of Fun Time Liquiors
Fred Perez - St. Paul - DFL'er
Richard Sonterre - Chair - former Mayor of Mounds View - retired MnDOT
employee, govt. relations Clear Channel Communications
Robert Weisenberger - Chairman of White Bear Township Public Works
Those voting to put the issue to the voters were:
A.L. Brown
Mike Fratto
Christopher Leifeld
Richard Moses
Bryan Olson
Bob Spaulding

Focus on Spending, not Unprecedented Tax; GOP Reaches out to #OWS with pro-Small-Biz Tax Freedom
To the extent that MN GOP's conscience is external, internet tax freedom and it's pro-small-business stance at least equally deserves the name as the liberty caucus with it's anti war stance.
The Wall Street Occupiers probably all agree we should protect the entrepreneur class from big business tax, VAT tax, business to business tax, national sales tax, and internet tax.
Inform them that trillions in revenue can only come from those revenue sources and that the revenue sources are needed by Dems to dig out of their spending problems, and their partisanship will kick in.
But it's true. Obama's problems can only be solved by big business agreeing to massive tax. Big business will do it because in the process small business, and much of big business competition, will be unable to share the burden and will be crowded out of the playing field before ever getting on their feet.
This is why I oppose Cain's 9-9-9 plan, although I like the man.
The 9-9-9 plan introduces the dangerous precedent of a national sales tax at a time when the root of our problems are only spending and we need to focus on reducing spending only.
Paul Ryan's plan included an 8.5% VAT. Again, not what we need to do.
We need to harshly reject and roll back spending and the Democrat spending habit or spending style.

Counting the ways Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton dishonored the office
5 ways Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton dishonored the office. Date: July 1, 2011
Dayton damaged office of governor by planning to the exclusion of all else an acute shutdown he promised to avoid & making it worse than the plan of even his own Attorney General, Swanson.
Dayton damaged office of governor by refusing to call a special session, insisting on a comprehensive agreement instead of a piecemeal approach, & amplifying a relatively minor point of contention, HHS, thereby ensuring a shutdown.
Dayton damaged office of governor by abdicating his authority to a mediator in the style of Labor.
Dayton damaged office of governor by allowing staff member Hume to tweet lies about #mnleg.
Dayton damaged office of governor by crudely attempting to divide Kurt & Amy with his sexist nonsense, reneging on at least two negotiated agreements, missing mtg, lying.
Can anyone tell me why we must spend $1.4b we don't have & why we should shutdown for it? HHS can manage. They did it on less last year.
Spending only what is brought in as revenue is responsible. Protesting/negotiating for higher tax rate (ie credit limit) is childish. Thank you #mnleg
SHAME: @GovMarkDayton's tax policy, for which he shutdown gov, fails to build revenue, won't bring lower middle class or small business jobs.
SHAME on @GovMarkDayton We need a governor who governs. Who understands, rejects revenue agendas such as SSTP, that harm MN #mnleg
Dayton is behaving like he has no goal but to extract a maximum commitment from Koch/Zellers for unfunded liability.

Even accounting for parental and federal government blunder and inconsistency, there are 2 legitimate questions.
The 2 questions are
Daniel Amon at the Selective service System says Obama registered for selective service
in Sept 1980 with the number 61-1125539-1:
http://pajamasmedia.com/blog/obama-did-obama-actually-register-for-selective-service/2/
The social security number 042-68-4425 is linked to 61-1125539-1 according to the sss website
so we know Obama probably only ever used 042-68-4425 and that it was issued after 3/21/1977,
when Thomas Louis Wood's similar number was issued:
http://colonel6.com/2011/04/27/barrack-obama-used-the-ssn-042-68-4425-on-his-selective-service-form-one-problem-that-ssn-was-issued-to-jean-paul-ludwig-is-barrack-obama-guilty-of-social-security-fraud/
Yet the number was assigned to John Paul Ludwig in 1977.
Did Obama knowingly use another person's social security number, a felony?
Obama worked at age 14 in 1975 before 1977, when 16.
Again Did Obama knowingly use some other person's social security number at 14?
Together with the odd fact that Obama was asked years ago for birth info and refused to give it until recently,
I feel Obama owes us an accounting of at least what he knows about his social security number and selective service acknowledgement.
http://hotair.com/greenroom/archives/2011/04/27/the-birth-certificate-obama-as-strange-as-we-thought/
For that matter he owes us an explanation for the illegal war in Libya costing US lives and $1 billion and counting, Obamacare, the stimulus, the tripling of the deficit which will cripple the economy for future generations, and damaging excessive Federal Reserve monetization.

Major Lefty Capitalists Finally Recognize Train Wreck
http://images.businessweek.com/mz/11/10/1110_mz_49meekerusainc.pdf
Our country is in deep financial trouble. Federal, state and local governments are deep in debt
yet continue to spend beyond their means, seemingly unable to stop. Our current path is simply
unsustainable. What to do?
A lot of people have offered suggestions and proposed solutions. Few follow the four key
guideposts to success that we see for setting our country back on the right path:
1) create a deep and widely held perception of the reality of the problem and the stakes involved;
2) reassure citizens that there are practical solutions;
3) develop support in key constituencies; and
4) determine the right timing to deliver the solutions.

The weakest portion of the project is, in fact, the recommendations section, attenuated as it is. It is mainly unconvincing bromides of the wise elder establishment statesman sort --- trim here, compromise there, split the difference and have good faith and we'll get out of this. It is an abject failure to recognize that this crisis is political in origins...involving choices of political values and is not merely a technical problem. While this is acknowledged it is left as the job for another day or an exercise for the reader to answer the question: "what is to be done?" Nonetheless this is a major contribution to political discussion just to set out clearly and convincingly the really dire situation we face with no suspicion, I think, of a specific or hidden agenda....and, after this project...no excuse either for obfuscation or denial.
There is a vast wealth of data and analysis here --- too much to summarize in one post...

Everyone! Hands off the Internet Sales Tax!
Republicans like Christopher Cox, Huckabee and Enzi should disown parts of the 2001 Internet Tax Freedom Act (ITFA) that include Streamlining or Canadian style harmonization or themselves be condemned for advocating a "sense of congress" that we should nationalize sales tax in any way or adopt Canadian harmonization or streamline each states' sales tax policy to make them all the same.
2005 Enzi:
http://www.govtrack.us/congress/billtext.xpd?bill=s109-2152
2001 Wyden:
http://www.govtrack.us/congress/billtext.xpd?bill=s107-288
co-sponsors:
Conrad Burns [R-MT]
Patrick Leahy [D-VT]
John Warner [R-VA]
http://www.govtrack.us/congress/billtext.xpd?bill=s107-1481
Patrick Leahy [D-VT]
John McCain [R-AZ]
Delahunt's and others' similar bills just keep coming. They're all based on the faulty premise that small business can benefit.
It is clear these streamlining bills are rejected by TEA America. We like tax-free internet sales; we do not like cumbersome freedom-stifling paperwork.
We want to preserve freedom for posterity. We are preserving the opportunity to go on the internet, sell your stuff and actually make a fulfilling livlihood without the threat or pressure of a tax collector above your head.
According to the MN-ITFA the shopping cart technology used as a resellers agent helps define the reseller/buyer ecommerce transaction as subject to buyer Use tax only.
The MN-ITFA may be "discriminatory" under the federal ITFA. If a reseller uses an agent (shopping cart technology) the buyer is liable for Use tax. The definition is unambiguous given the legal success of Soverain's shopping cart patents. The yearly threshhold at which a buyer voluntarily pays Use tax is increased to $250,000 from $770.
Because the buyer is paying Use tax, the Sellers are not to collect or remit any sales tax, to avoid a multiple tax.
The recent Stubhub! case is an example of how narrow a scope the federal ITFA has and how weak a force for freedom the federal ITFA is:
http://caselaw.findlaw.com/us-7th-circuit/1539574.html
Notice this part:
Section 1105(2)(B)(ii) defines a tax as “discriminatory” if “a provider of Internet access service or online services is deemed to be the agent of a remote seller for determining tax collection obligations solely as a result of-(I) the display of a remote seller's information or content on the out-of-State computer server of a provider of Internet access service or online services; or (II) the processing of orders through the out-of-State computer server of a provider of Internet access service or online services.” (Emphasis added.) Chicago deems an electronic auction service to be a reseller's agent, but not “solely” because it displays information or processes orders

Healing after the Tucson Tragedy
The anti-Palin people slandered the right so much they didn't immediately apprehend that the blood libel slander involved murder while their other libels didn't. The anti-Palin perpetrators demonstrated use of a medieval tactic in the 21st century.
21st century blood libel is doing the same eliminationist blood libel of medieval times, except instead of the ritual baby killing as the murderous technique which the rumor-target has adapted and cravenly "needs", it is the style of rhetoric of the rumor-target.
Nothing the left accused the right of has turned out to be true. But the gunman is now aware of and indebted to their effort to find him a scapegoat.
Note the right/TEA people sees no value in reviving a medieval attack technique because we can expose the left's covered-up misdeeds (of ignoring the fiscal big picture) without libel.
The week following Saturday January 8 we witnessed the largest volume of tweets attacking the right ever, including tweets calling for Palin to be shot. This is absolutely unacceptable and must be rejected by every political figure from the president down to local district councils. There can be no ambiguity that murderous behavior and using murderous behavior has no place in the American process as Robert Gibbs said in response to a Russian reporter's question January 13, 2011.
http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2011/01/13/132904850/dont-call-killers-actions-american-gibbs-tells-russian-reporter
I'm proud the Minnesota lefties mostly refrained from participating in these shameful tweets.
There was one exception - former 17B Representative Jeremy Kalin.
Please remember the courageous Gabrielle Giffords and the victims:

Sheriff Clarence Dupnik, Maricopa County, Az
youngest victim: 9 year old Christina Taylor Green
John Roll, 63: Named Arizona's chief federal judge in 2006, the U.S. District judge won acclaim for a career as a respected jurist and leader who had pushed to beef up the court's strained bench to handle a growing number of border crime-related cases. Roll was a Pennsylvania native who got his law degree from the University of Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Maureen, three sons and five grandchildren.
• Gabe Zimmerman, 30: Zimmerman, the director of community outreach for Giffords, handled thousands of issues raised by constituents out of the congresswoman's offices in Tucson and Sierra Vista. Co-workers say Zimmerman, who had a master's degree in social work, cared passionately about helping people. Zimmerman, who is survived by a brother, was engaged to be married.
• Phyllis Schneck, 79: For the past decade, Schneck has spent her winters in sunny Tucson, away from her home state of New Jersey. Eventually she became an Arizona resident, taking up with the town's robust community of retirees. A widow who had been married to Edward Schneck for 56 years until his death, Schneck had been a homemaker, loved making crafts and remained devoted to her family.
• Dorwin Stoddard, 76: Stoddard died shielding his wife Mavanell ``Mavy'' Stoddard, 75, from the barrage of bullets. Mavy, who was shot in the leg several times, is expected to recover, friends and neighbors said. ``He was a hero,'' said Marge Osterman, a neighbor and friend. Friends and church members knew well the Stoddards' love story: They were high school classmates in Tucson who moved away, married other people and made a life. When their spouses died, they moved back and reconnected. Both were leaders in their church benevolence ministry. ``They normally go out to breakfast every Saturday,'' said their pastor, the Rev. Mike Nowak. On this Saturday, Mavy wanted tell their congresswoman that she was doing a good job, she told him.
• Dorothy Morris, 76: Neighbors said that Morris moved to Tucson more than a decade ago from Nevada and was a secretary and homemaker; her husband George, who was shot in the shoulder Saturday but survived, was a former pilot for United Airlines and the Marine Corps. The corps flag and a U.S. flag flew daily outside their home, neighbors said. They were often seen walking around their retirement community, called Sun City Vistoso; Dorothy went to a Bible study class. ``Nice people, not a bad word to say about them,'' said Marie Bender, a neighbor.

To some on the Left this tragedy is an opportunity to defame TEA, Palin, Angle and others with contrived blood libel. It should not be handled that way. It is a sad day in our history and inconsistent with a peaceful American tradition local republicans and democrats can share pride in.

I can't believe THEIR Lefty was caught killing 6 yet they're trying to frame Palin for it:

UNbelievable. Why isn't the Left calling out these creepy anti-Palin and anti-Bachmann people?

The local mainstream Left should be condemning this aspect of the Left's cheap, tawdry, undignified response to the shootings including the small-minded @markos tweets from Saturday soon after the incident to Sunday.
You have unsubstantiated worry from http://www.mnprogressiveproject.com/ about the TEA party or republicans inciting young political people and lefty blogs run ads for Prendergast: http://biasedliberalmedia.com/wordpress/ for comics with guns which congress thought was inciting violence and acted against it more than 50 years ago. Your congressman (Franken) wrote porno and you're worried about our influence. You practically prepare and hand over to assassins a complete storyboard in Death of a President.
Yet in the recent tragedy we are immediately subjected to self-serving, blood libel sermons by the likes of Olbermann and hectored by 3rd rate economists like Krugman. It reminds me of Oberstar standing over the 35W bodies politicizing death before he has facts.
From FB: You really think he was a right winger when his favorite book was Communist and his favorite video was of a flag burning? And his former classmate said he was a liberal?
This opportunistic, exploitive attitude cannot stand. It is a distraction
to the work at hand and to fiscal stewardship.

Taking away guns from peaceful owners is not an answer to any social ill.

A message from a friend to all Horner Supporters
An important message from a republican:
Dear Horner Supporters:
There is still time for those of you Horner supporters to realize that you are only helping Dayton. IF you are a conservative, or even conservative light, you should vote for EMMER! If you vote for Horner, you will ONLY be helping get Dayton elected.
Plus, Horner’s two biggest supporters are Durenburger and Arne Carlson, both of whom proudly boast that they voted for Barack Obama.. Doesn’t say much for Horner.
Democrats have figured out this election dynamic, that is why the Star Tribune has done dozens of front page stories of their media darling Horner the past 6 months.
If you are a Horner supporter, you should think long and hard about what you are really doing. Just set your Ego and ignorance aside and THINK about it.
If you want to make things more difficult for your kids and grandkids in the future, just vote for Horner, because you will only be voting for Dayton.. its your choice.
