5 ways Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton dishonored the office. Date: July 1, 2011
Dayton damaged office of governor by planning to the exclusion of all else an acute shutdown he promised to avoid & making it worse than the plan of even his own Attorney General, Swanson.
Dayton damaged office of governor by refusing to call a special session, insisting on a comprehensive agreement instead of a piecemeal approach, & amplifying a relatively minor point of contention, HHS, thereby ensuring a shutdown.
Dayton damaged office of governor by abdicating his authority to a mediator in the style of Labor.
Dayton damaged office of governor by allowing staff member Hume to tweet lies about #mnleg.
Dayton damaged office of governor by crudely attempting to divide Kurt & Amy with his sexist nonsense, reneging on at least two negotiated agreements, missing mtg, lying.
Can anyone tell me why we must spend $1.4b we don't have & why we should shutdown for it? HHS can manage. They did it on less last year.
Spending only what is brought in as revenue is responsible. Protesting/negotiating for higher tax rate (ie credit limit) is childish. Thank you #mnleg
SHAME: @GovMarkDayton's tax policy, for which he shutdown gov, fails to build revenue, won't bring lower middle class or small business jobs.
SHAME on @GovMarkDayton We need a governor who governs. Who understands, rejects revenue agendas such as SSTP, that harm MN #mnleg
Dayton is behaving like he has no goal but to extract a maximum commitment from Koch/Zellers for unfunded liability.
